Cancer / Specified–Diseasei

Every day, people are diagnosed with cancer. It is devastating and can change their lives forever — emotionally, physically, and financially. In the US, the lifetime risk of developing cancer is 42% (1 in 2) in men and 38% (1 in 3) in women.ii

At NTA Life, our main concern is easing your financial burden after a covered diagnosis and during treatment. We have developed a cancer insurance policy that provides additional financial protection for the medical and non–medical costs of cancer, as well as its early identification and treatment. This policy provides direct payments to you (unless you specify otherwise), regardless of other major medical coverages you may have.

THIS IS A CANCER ONLY POLICY.

Depending on the state in which the policy is issued, waiting periods for limited benefits policies may be up to 30 days between the effective date of the policy and the effective date of coverage. Check the policy for the relevant waiting period under your policy.

These policies are guaranteed renewable, which means the policy will renew as long as the premium is paid currently. The company reserves the right to increase premium rates on a premium class and form number basis.

Annual expenses for care associated with heart conditions in the United States average about $4,000 per year.iv Our products offer coverage that provides additional financial protection for the medical and non–medical costs of many heart–related conditions, including heart attack, heart disease and stroke. During that time, costs add up — bills in your mailbox, car trips to the doctor, prescriptions and others. Our Heart and Stroke policy pays in addition to any major medical insurance benefits.

Disability Incomevii

If you become disabled, how long could you pay bills and provide for your family with reduced earnings? How long will the disability benefit from your employer–sponsored insurance plan last? Do you have enough set aside to cover the additional expenses caused by a disability?

What you have now and your plans for the future depend upon your ability to work and earn an income. If you're like most people, you probably have insurance to protect your home, car, and savings — but do you have insurance to protect your ability to earn an income? At the bottom line, your income is the foundation that holds up the rest.

Our Disability Income insurance coverage can help you take care of important expenses: food, clothing, travel and lodging expenses, copayments, and medical costs not covered under other plans.
